Lord, the baptism of John is a baptism of water that invites me to conversion. You, Jesus, are truly God and truly man. The baptism that you propose to us is done in the fire of the Spirit. What power and what graces! This baptism forgives all our sins, makes us adoptive children of God, partakers of the divine nature, joint heirs with you and temples of the Holy Spirit. Lord, give us the grace to find our joy in you, a joy that nothing and no one can take away from us! Increase our faith.
