One of the best fruits of the Word of God that we hear - for example, in each mass - is that it becomes light within us and also light outside us. That is why we listen to it: so that, having evangelized ourselves, we may evangelize others, that is, we may announce the Good News of the truth and love of God. What we receive is for the edification of others, not to keep for ourselves. As the seed is not intended to be buried, but to germinate and bear fruit.
