Dialogue with God
Remember your word to me,
in which you have made me hope.
It is my comfort in my affliction.
Your promise gives me life.

The insolent mock me a lot,
but I do not turn away from your law.
When I remember your rules from of old,
they give me courage and comfort, O Lord.

It makes me angry to see the evil ones,
because they forsake your law.
Your rules are songs for me
in the house of my sojourning.

I remember your name in the night, O Lord,
and I observe your law.
I keep your precepts.
You are, Lord, my inheritance,
I keep your words.

I entreat your favor with all my heart;
be gracious to me according to your promise.
When I think on my ways,
I turn my feet to your testimonies;
I hasten and do not delay
to keep your commandments.

The wicked try to seduce me,
but I do not forget your law.
I wake up in the middle of the night
to thank you for your righteous decrees.

I am a friend of those who fear you,
of those who respect your precepts.
Your love, Lord, fill the earth,
Teach me your rules.

You are good with me,
according to your promise, Lord.
Teach me good judgment and knowledge,
for, I have faith and trust in your commands.

Before being humiliated,
I had walked away,
but now I observe your word.

Psalm 119, 49-68: Prayer of trust
